Recap of week 1 garden meeting


We discussed the need to develop a garden plan and the areas we need to focus on in order to make it happen. We walked the proposed site and discussed what we would like to see in the garden (organic, natives, heirloom seeds, etc). Our goal and the areas of focus are as follows:

Our goal is to have a working Garden Plan which includes:
  • detailed map of the garden site
  • plant and materials list
  • expense and donation report
  • community relations plan
  • teacher resource list and professional development opportunities
  • sustainability plan

  • Educational tools needed (rulers, tape measures, magnifying glasses, etc.)
